Using the correct measurements

If you’re replacing a tired, old shade you will need to know the exact measurements. To measure a lampshade, run a tape measure across the bottom and again across the top. Do not measure around the shade because lampshades are sized by diameter. To measure the height of your lampshade, place it on a flat surface and measure the inside of the shade, from bottom to top.
